Nebuchadnezzar's faith journey goes through several distinct phases. In Daniel 2:46,47 he recognizes God as "Daniel's" God. Daniel 3:25 has him acknowledging God as God but in v. 29 he "shoves his religion down other people's throats". It's not until the 7 year insanity of chapter 4 that he is truly humbled feeling his own need of God. Daniel 4:34-37 show this quite clearly. Many of us likely go through the same journey in different ways.
